Top 10 Juicing For Weight Loss Recipes

When done properly juicing is one of the best ways to lose weight. Most juices contain no fat but do include a wide range of vitamins and minerals, making juicing a great way to incorporate essential fruits and vegetables into your diet.

Of course, this does require determination and effort: purchasing juice from the store won't help—most commercial juices are loaded down with too much sugar—and not all fruit juices are created equal. In fact, some juices are far better than others for encouraging weight loss. The best juices provide a wide range of nutrients while also acting as an appetite suppressant. We've taken some time to create a list of the very best juice recipes for weight loss so you can start juicing effectively right away.

  • 2 Roma tomatoes diced
  • ½ cup spinach
  • ½ cup cilantro

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

It might not sound very appealing, but this juice is both delicious and effective.

Wash, peel and dice the carrots. Chop all the other vegetables regularly and throw everything together in the juicer. You want to process this juice at a higher speed to make sure everything blends together properly. Add the salt and pepper at the very end, then top your cup off with a nice sprig of cilantro. This is a great juice to drink in the morning.

  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

If you're a big fan of beets, you'll love this juice. It contains most of the nutrients you need to get through a day and it also gives your metabolism a boost so you can lose weight more easily.

Make sure you cut these vegetables into small enough chunks for your particular model of juicer and blend them thoroughly. Once the mixture is done blending add a teaspoon of sea salt and top it all off with a sprig of cilantro. You can also add a little bit of lemon juice to give this extremely healthy juice some extra flavour.

4. Heart Beet

  • Apple - 1 medium (3" diameter)
  • Beet Root - 1 beet (3" diameter)
  • Carrots - 12 medium
  • Lemon - 1/2 fruit (2-3/8" diameter)
  • Oranges (peeled) - 2 fruit (2-5/8" diameter)

This juice gets its name from its ability to lower blood pressure, thus reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke as well as increasing weight loss. If your blood pressure is a serious concern you should consider drinking this juice 2-4 times a week, and take a look at other recipes that specifically lower blood pressure.

Chop the apple and beet root into manageable pieces and throw them in the juicer. Peel the carrots and remove the lemon and orange peels as well. Toss the remaining ingredients into your juicer and blend thoroughly. Make sure you stir properly before you start drinking this juice.

5. Spinach and Apple Juice

  • 2-3 medium-sized apples, cubed
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped spinach
  • A little lemon juice
  • ½ cup red lettuce leaves or carrot greens
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

This juice is a great way to start your morning. The apples give some sweetness to the mix without completely overpowering the other flavours, and a dash of lemon juice helps give this recipe an extra weight loss boost.

Throw all your vegetables and the apples into your juicer and blend carefully. You might want to start with a slightly higher speed to make sure that everything blends properly. Once your juice looks ready pour it into a tall serving glass and add a touch of kosher salt and a little bit of cayenne pepper. You can always decide to add some extra cayenne to give this juice a bit more kick.

  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 small kiwi
  • ½ inch fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 small beet
  • 5-7 drops Stevia

This juice might seem like a strange mixture, but it provides many of the nutrients you need to get through the day, therefore keeping your appetite on an even keel throughout the day.

Cut your fruits and vegetables into manageable pieces before putting them into the juicer but don't peel the carrots. This combination should take 5-10 minutes to blend properly. Once the juice is blended you can add a few drops of Stevia to give it some sweetness. Of course, you might find you enjoy the juice just fine without it! Either way, this juice provides a great nutritional kick that will last all day.

7. Green Lemonade

  • Apples - 2 medium (3" diameter)
  • Cucumber - 1 cucumber (8-1/4")
  • Kale - 4 leaf (8-12")
  • Lemon - 1 fruit (2-1/8" diameter)
  • Spinach – 2 cups

This juice is exactly what it sounds like: lemonade with an extra nutritional kick and a touch of extra flavour. Make sure you chop the vegetables up into manageable chunks before throwing them into your juicer. If you find the juice is too watery for your taste you can also try reducing the amount of cucumber you use. The apple should make this juice sweet enough but if it doesn't quite cut it try adding 2-3 drops of Stevia.

8. Morning Glory

  • Beet Root - 1 beet (3" diameter)
  • Carrots - 2 medium
  • Oranges - 2 fruit (2-5/8" diameter)

This juice has the name Morning Glory for a very good reason: it provides a big boost of morning energy and helps you stay focused throughout the day. The oranges provide an overwhelming strength of flavour that makes this juice perfect for the person who usually hates beets.

Make sure you cut the beet and carrots into manageable chunks before throwing them into your juicer. You'll want to peel the oranges but don't bother to peel the carrots—peels do come with lots of extra nutrients and carrot peels don't taste bad. Stir properly to make sure everything has blended before you pour the juice out.

9. The Liver Scrubber

  • Apple - 1 large (3-1/4" diameter)
  • Beet Greens (optional) - 3 leaf
  • Beet Root - 1 beet (3" diameter)
  • Carrots - 4 medium
  • Celery - 1 stalk, large (11"-12" long)
  • Ginger Root - 1/2 thumb (1" diameter)

Let's be honest: all our livers could use a good cleaning out once in a while. This juice does a great job of it while managing to taste better than a fair number of other, similar recipes. The addition of beet greens gives this juice an extra nutritional kick but certainly isn't essential for cleaning out your liver.

This is another recipe where you don't want to peel the carrots, but you do want to chop everything up into manageable chunks and you might want to remove any seeds from your apple before throwing it in the juicer—they'll be all but impossible to get out after. You should blend this mixture for at least 5 minutes to make sure everything blends properly. This particular juice shouldn't be accompanied by any kind of spices.

10. Turmeric Sunrise

  • Apples - 2 medium (3" diameter)
  • Carrots - 3 medium
  • Celery - 3 stalk, large (11"-12" long)
  • Ginger Root - 1 thumb (1" diameter)
  • Lemons (peeled) - 2 fruit (2-3/8" diameter)
  • Pears - 2 medium
  • Turmeric Root - 6 thumb (1" diameter)

This particular juice offers a huge range of benefits. Drinking it consistently can help lower your blood pressure, reduce your risk of cancer, improve your complexion and of course help you lose weight.

Like most of the other juices on this list you don't need to put the ingredients in your juicer in any particular order, though you might consider throwing in the carrots first because they might take a bit longer to break up completely. Blend the mixture for at least 5 minutes and stir it properly to make sure the flavours have fully mixed. Try drinking this juice in the morning for an extra boost of energy.
